* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures ranging from the mid 80s to lower 90s near the coast to the mid 90s to low 100s for the mesas and other higher coastal terrain expected. Nights will be very warm with low temperatures mostly in the 70s. * WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas. * WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
